AG is a water‑soluble, stabilized Vitamin C derivative. It's created by attaching glucose to ascorbic acid, which makes it:

As AG is water‑soluble, so it must be added to the water phase of a cream or lotion or as the the water base of a serum or toner. It cannot be used in facial oils or blams.
